It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Coyhis N. Saunders-Baker, a vibrant and spirited soul, who left this world on March 20, 2026, at the age of 37. Coyhis passed away peacefully at her home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, due to natural causes. 

Coyhis was known for her spunky and sassy attitude, coupled with a zest for life that inspired everyone around her. She dedicated countless hours volunteering for local charities in Ozaukee County, always striving to bring joy and support to those in need. Her generosity of spirit and desire for the best in others were hallmarks of her character. 

An athletic enthusiast, Coyhis loved to stay active through running, biking, golfing, and fishing. Her passion for the outdoors and commitment to a healthy lifestyle was contagious, encouraging her friends and family to embrace their own adventures. She cherished her time spent in nature, often accompanied by her beloved cat, Jackson, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. 

A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and a lover of music, Coyhis filled her life with the things that brought her joy. Her energy was magnetic, drawing people to her warm smile and infectious laughter, leaving lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her. 

Coyhis is survived by her mother, Zina Baker, siblings, Bradley Baker, Ashley (Zakaria Bziker) Baker, Cody Baker, Cyle Baker, Haven Baker, Daken Baker, and grandmother, Verna Saunders. Further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Gary Baker and her “Pop Pop”, Edward Saunders, and grandparents, Jim and Patricia Baker.

In celebration of Coyhis's life, her family will hold a memorial gathering in August inviting all who knew her to join in honoring her spirit and the impact she had on her community. Details regarding the time and location of the ceremonies will be shared soon. As we remember Coyhis N. Saunders-Baker, let us reflect on her passion for life, her kindness, and the joy she brought into the world.

May her legacy of love and generosity continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, our sweet girl, we love you and you will be profoundly missed.
