David D. Guse

Surrounded by love, David Dale Guse passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, after a brave fight against pancreatic cancer. Our family is heartbroken by his loss.

David was born in Milwaukee on November 16, 1966, to Robert H. and Marcia D. (Crow) Guse. He was raised in Cedarburg, where he built many lasting friendships that remained important throughout his life. He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1985 and later earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, followed by achieving his CPA certification. He dedicated 25 years of his career to Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Inc., a global event management firm, where he served as Vice President and Data Protection Officer—a role that afforded him opportunities for worldwide travel and valued professional relationships throughout his career.

Larger than life, David shared his love in every corner of his world—from baking and cooking for others to volunteering and running marathons for causes close to his heart and performing countless acts of kindness. Each morning, he greeted the day with a smile that lit up the room and an enthusiasm for life that inspired everyone around him. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, loyal friend, and lifelong pet lover, David nurtured deep friendships, spread joy and laughter wherever he went, and left a lasting imprint on every heart he touched.

David is survived by his loving wife, Katy (Schulze) Guse, and their daughters, Leah and Paige Guse. He is also survived by his parents, Robert and Marcia (Crow) Guse; his brother, Peter (Lisa) Guse, and their daughters, Olivia and Elizabeth Guse; his brother, Steven (Joanna Rossi) Guse; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Peggy (Schulze) Olson and Darren Olson.

Our family is deeply grateful to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Aurora Cancer Center and Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Horizons Lawlis Family Hospice for their compassionate care of David.

Arrangements are being handled by Plopper Funeral Home, 2070 Wisconsin Avenue, Grafton, WI 53024. The family will receive friends at Faith Lutheran Church, N35 W6621 Wilson Street, Cedarburg, WI 53012, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026. The memorial celebration will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Pastor John Norquist officiating.
