Julie Ann Johnson

Julie Ann Johnson, a beloved mother, friend, and vibrant spirit, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on July 5, 1957, in Evanston, Illinois, Julie's warm heart and infectious laughter touched everyone she met. She was a lifelong learner and dedicated worker, having spent over 30 years as a bank teller at Grafton State Bank and Brown Deer Bank, before ending her career as the store manager at Casey's in Cedarburg. There, she became a cherished figure in the community, brightening the days of countless locals with her kindness and genuine smile.

 Julie had a passion for life that was evident in everything she did. She adored the music of Tom Petty and found joy in the bright colors of palm trees and pink flamingos lining the beaches of Florida—her favorite getaway. Every year, she eagerly anticipated family trips to Florida, where she created lasting memories with her children. 

Her commitment to family shone brightest on the sidelines of her children’s games, where she could always be found cheering the loudest. Julie was known for her creative flair, crafting personalized gifts and whimsical balloons for Packers and Bears games, ensuring that each occasion was unique and special. She was constantly ridiculed and reminded that a Cubs and Bears fan could raise a group of Cheesheads, her children. Her culinary prowess was unmatched; she loved to cook and always prepared more than enough to share with family and friends, reminding them that love is best served warm. She was best known for her famous French onion soup.

Julie is survived by her children, Gina (Jacob) McCabe, Eric (fiancée Emily Smallcombe) Rainero, and J Vincent Roy, granddaughter, Chloe McCabe, grand pets, Penny, Captain, Penelope, and Pearl, sisters, Karen (Robert) Beard and Nancy (Ed) King, and former spouse, Steven Rainero. Further survived by her stepmother, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Marilyn Johnson, and former spouse, Robert Roy. 

Julie’s vibrant presence will be celebrated by those who loved her, on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 12:00 PM Noon until 4:00 PM at Lime Kiln Park (2020 S. Green Bay Rd.), Grafton. A Celebration of Life Service will start promptly at 12:00 PM Noon followed by a time for family and friends to gather, share memories, visit, and celebrate a life well lived. 

In the spirit of Julie, as you remember her, think of the joy she spread and the love she gave freely, especially to her three children, and cherished granddaughter, Chloe. Julie Johnson will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
