Listen to Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kurt Kulczyski on October 15, 2026, at the age of 61. A longtime resident of Grafton, Wisconsin, Kurt left this world as he lived in it—naturally, surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors he cherished so deeply.

Born on October 11, 1965, Kurt was a gifted artist and craftsman, renowned for his exceptional metalwork and artwork. His creativity extended beyond the forge; he was an accomplished master welder who dedicated many years of his career to Simplicity, followed by a significant tenure at Kapco in Grafton. Ultimately, Kurt transformed his passion into his life’s work, founding his own landscaping company, where he skillfully combined his love for nature with his talent for craftsmanship. He was particularly skilled in aquaculture and the art of building ponds, leaving a lasting legacy of beauty in the landscapes he touched.

Kurt was a passionate outdoorsman, with a profound love for hunting and fishing. His spirit of adventure and exploration was matched only by his kindness and generosity toward others. He was a mentor, a teacher, and a friend who opened his heart to many, making a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. As a loving father to Matthew and Kayla, Kurt's nurturing spirit extended beyond his own children; he was a father figure to many, always welcoming and eager to share his knowledge and experiences.

Kurt is survived by his proud children, Matthew (Sedona) Kulczyski and Kayla Kulczyksi, he was the proud and cherished Papa of Leelah and Ava Kulczyski, devoted mother, Marlene Kulczyski, his beloved sister, Kari Henrichs, and nephew, Jeremy Wilhelme. Further survived by his dear friend, Kim Mundt. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Kulczyski.

In honor of Kurt’s life and legacy, a funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Rose Harms American Legion Post in Grafton. A viewing will take place from 4-6 PM, followed by the service at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to help with funeral expenses are appreciated.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Kurt, let us remember his unwavering spirit, his unmatched talent, and the countless ways he inspired and uplifted those around him. He will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
