Rejoicing in the promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of Marilyn H. Goeman, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, beloved teacher, and friend. She peacefully entered eternal rest on October 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on July 23, 1936, in Antigo, Wisconsin, she was the cherished daughter of Leonard and Marion Osness.
Marilyn lived her life with unwavering faith and a profound commitment to serving others, embodying the love and teachings of Jesus Christ until her final days. Her joyful demeanor, gentle spirit, and compassionate nature touched the lives of many, reflecting her deep-rooted belief in the importance of kindness and Jesus unconditional love. As a prayer warrior, Marilyn consistently uplifted others through her heartfelt prayers, offering support and encouragement to all those around her.
Marilyn dedicated many years of her life to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, WI. In retirement, she continued to impact the community through her active involvement at St. Paul and area senior living centers where she led Bible studies and shared the joy of faith with others. Marilyn was dedicated to the study of God’s Word and sharing the Gospel message with others.
Her life demonstrated positivity, patience, and a commitment to constant learning, as she approached every opportunity with an open heart and a willingness to contribute. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and uplift those around her with her unwavering optimism.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered as Al's "honey bee," having married the love of her life, Al Goeman, at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo on August 8, 1959. Together, they cultivated a beautiful marriage with Jesus at the center. Each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren experienced her love in unique and special ways. She enjoyed personally connecting and sharing her faith with those she cherished.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years Allen Goeman, children: David (Gale) Goeman, Denise (Tim) Gieschen, Doug (Margo) Goeman, and Dauna (Ed) Werner; sister, Diane Ward, and brother-in-law, Dale Goeman. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marilyn H. Goeman will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, as we carry forward her legacy of love and faith in her Savior Jesus. “Well done, good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21
