On June 2, 2026, a century of grace, faith, and devotion culminated in a joyful homecoming as our beloved “Millie” entered the gates of Heaven to join her husband William of 70 years, and her Daughter Carol Maumee. Having recently celebrated her 100th birthday, she peacefully transitioned from this world to the arms of her Savior, leaving behind a legacy as radiant as her spirit.
Mildred Evans (nee Kroberger) born on May 16, 1926, in New Jersey and retired in Florida where she and William “Bill” enjoyed many happy years. After Bill’s passing, Millie reunited with her family in Wisconsin. She is survived by her daughter Joanne (Michael) Morris, her son in law George (Mary Lewandowski) Maumee, her grandchildren Allison (Kevin Parins) DiCriscio, Jessica (Dan Gliniecki) DiCriscio, Adam (Tracy) Maumee, & Courtland (Jessi) Maumee, her great grandchildren Daniel, Erik, Ryan, Bentley, Hunter, Wyatt, and Walker, her niece Joan (Rich) Liversidge, and many great friends.
“Millie” lived through a century of profound change, yet her foundation remained unshakeable: her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She was a woman of deep prayer, whose Bible was worn thin from decades of seeking wisdom and offering gratitude. To know her was to see the fruits of the Spirit in action—kindness, patience, and a love that knew no bounds.
For 100 years, she was a steady heartbeat of our family. Her home was always a sanctuary where everyone was welcome, and her life was a living testimony to the beauty of a faithful heart.
While we mourn the loss of our matriarch, we find immense comfort in knowing she has heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." She has finished her race and claimed her crown of glory.
Millie’s light will continue to shine through the generations she nurtured and the lives she touched with her Christ-like spirit. We celebrate a century well-lived and a woman dearly loved.
A Celebration of Mildred’s Life will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, promptly at 10:30 AM at Cedar Creek Community Church (1414 1st Ave.), Grafton. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kathy’s Hospice, in West Bend, are appreciated.
A special thank you to the loving and caring staff at Kathy’s Hospice for all of their wonderful care and compassion, as well as Rev. Mark Burkholder for all of his special visits to Millie.
