With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Randolph Smith, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. After a yearlong battle with leukemia, the Lord ended his earthly struggles by calling him home to heaven on August 27, 2025; just one month before his sixty-fifth birthday.
Randolph, known to many as Randy, was born to Ralph and Virginia (Nowak) Smith on September 27, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He became a child of God through the washing of rebirth and renewal in Holy Baptism on October 16, 1960, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church. Randy was later confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 68th and Forest Home, on August 12, 1979.
Randolph was a dedicated machinist who spent his forty-five-year career working at Grover Corporation, a piston ring manufacturing company. He took great pride in his work, embodying a spirit of hard work and commitment that defined his character. He was a loyal Packer fan who bled green and gold, always cheering passionately for his team.
In his leisure, Randy found great joy at Lake Arrowhead Campground, where he treasured moments of relaxation with family and friends. He especially enjoyed sitting on the deck with a cold Miller High Life watching a Packer game.
Randy was a great provider, taking immense pride in his family above all. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his five sons, Adrian (LaShawn), RJ, Michael (Sarah), Robert (Sarah), and Casey (Sally). Together, they navigated life’s ups and downs, building a home that, despite its challenges, was filled with love and memories.
Randy is further survived by his eleven grandchildren: Haley, Josiah, Waylon, Sebastian, Sophia, Isaiah, Warren, Gabriella, Mason, Nathanael, and Ashton; his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many other very dear relatives and friends.
To celebrate Randy's life, a public viewing will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1332 Arrowhead Road, Grafton, Wisconsin on August 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Following visitation, a Christian victory service will be held at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside procession and service will take place following the visitation and funeral at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1023 3rd Avenue, Grafton, WI.
“Be faithful, even to the point of death,
and I will give you the crown of life.” (Revelation 2:10)
