Robert “Bob” Klingbeil, 93, passed away on June 20 at Horizon Lawlis Family Hospice, located in Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on January 30, 1932, in Horicon, Wisconsin. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, stationed in Japan. After his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he met his future wife, Charlotte. The two were married on June 17, 1961.
Bob and Charlotte settled in Green Bay and raised three daughters: Kristi, Kerri, and Kelli. He enjoyed a long and successful career with The West Bend Company, working for over 30 years as a Territory Sales Manager, selling housewares and small appliances to retailers.
Known for his warm heart and unwavering support, Bob was a proud veteran, a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan with over 25 years of season tickets, and a skilled tennis player who competed for many years. A passionate Lutheran, Bob was deeply involved in church life—volunteering, supporting, and serving his faith community. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Grafton, Wisconsin.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Charlotte, of Grafton; his daughters Kristi (Bob) Hutchison of Florence, AZ, and Kerri (Wayne) Wiertzema of Cedarburg, WI; grandsons Cory and Matthew of Laveen, AZ; and granddaughter Megan of Cedarburg, WI. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Kelli, and his parents, Carl and Helen.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Horizon Hospice and the nurses at Lawlis Family Hospice for their compassionate care. In accordance with Bob’s wishes, no public service will be held. A private family ceremony with military honors will take place at a later date. Bob’s final resting place will be beside his daughter Kelli at Woodlawn Cemetery in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
