Susan N. Kelly

Susan Nancy Kelly was born on December 13, 1949, to Albert and Geraldine Fifer in Chicago Illinois. She died on July 1, 2026, at home after a long and hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease along with kidney and heart issues.

Susan’s life centered around her family and especially her grandchildren. She married her husband David Kelly on July 16, 1982. She is survived by David and her children Michelle Moring (Andy) of Milwaukee and Liz Kelly of Madison. Her grandchildren are Merit and June Moring.

Her extended family consists of her sister Jill Toomey (Kenton) of Round Rock, Texas and nephews Ryan Toomey (Norma) and son Markus of Tampa and Brandon Toomey (Trish) of Minneapolis.

Sue was a Master Gardener and greatly enjoyed working in the garden. During the winter, she spent her time quilting and sewing. She also liked spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. She especially liked traveling with David to 49 of the 50 states (missing Idaho). Her favorite trip of all time was a ten-day driving tour of Alaska.

The Kelly family would like to thank Horizon Hospice and her nurse Julia. She was wonderful and kind and helped Sue in so many ways. We would also like to thank Craig Plopper of the Plopper Funeral Home in Grafton for his extraordinary help and compassion.

There will be a private service for her family to spread her ashes in the places she enjoyed.
